Stuck inside? Are the kids restless? You have already pulled out all their favorite toys, dress-ups, watched a movie, and baked a snack together. Now what? I’ve got a secret weapon that is sure to liven up even the most miserable of indoor days.
Everybody needs a go-to list of rainy day activities for those days. Sometimes it’s too hot, sometimes too cold, sometimes too rainy, and sometimes someone in the family gets sick and an indoor day is called in. Whatever the reason, blowing indoor bubbles is a must-do activity that will get the wiggles and giggles out of the kiddos.

Add This to Your Rainy Day Activities
Blowing hundreds of magical indoor bubbles is easy. All you need is your favorite bubble solution, a towel to catch bubble drips, and a fan. We used our air conditioning unit, but any fan of any size should work perfectly.
All you need to do is hold the bubble wand up to the fan and watch the bubbles (and kiddos) go wild! Position the towel underneath the bubble wand to catch sticky drips.

Typically blowing bubbles inside is against the rules at our house. My kids inevitably spill soapy bubble juice all over the carpet or couch. I made an exception for this activity for a couple of reasons. First, I was the designated bubble blower and had a hand on the bubble container the entire time. This worked out anyway because the point was to to get my kids up and moving after being inside all day long. Second, we blew the bubbles over the hard floor. When the bubbles pop they do leave a sticky residue on the floor. Once we were done with our fun I armed the kids with our Swiffer WetJet Mop and they had the floor cleaned up in a jiffy. They enjoyed outrageous fun and I got a clean floor! Win-win 🙂
